The Importance of Effective PSHE Practise in Primary Schools

PSHE Discovery Conference - Lincolnshire

Hosted by Headway & 1decision, the PSHE Discovery Conference looked at the importance of effective PSHE practise in primary schools, with speeches and presentations from some leading experts and services. We explored creative and innovative approaches to PSHE education, and health and wellbeing in schools, and gave delegates the opportunity to hear why the subject is now more relevant than ever ahead of the statutory changes in 2020.

Speakers included Jan Hargrave and Kate Welberry, Relationships and Sex Education Programme Officers who shared topical updates and an overview of the new statutory changes, as well as learning from Hayley Sherwood, the creator of one of the first resources available to schools to be awarded the PSHE Association Kitemark for Quality.
